I was born in Ukraine, the land which is known for its profound ties to Hasidism.
This is the story of how Misha Grinberg Design originated.
It was a holy Rosh Hashanah holiday. I stood at the doorstep of Baal Shem Tov sinagoge in Medzhybizh UKRAINE, gazing at the mezuzah. Above me hung a heavy autumn sky, and all the surroundings merged into one grey, lifeless and featureless tangle.
The mezuzah I was looking at was colorless as well- just another dull element of the gloomy picture around me.
I shivered from the cold and pondered —what was missing or what could be done to make the world around me more joyous and colorful?
Suddenly, I felt sunshine warmth on my shoulder. I lifted my face and saw the sky clearing out, revealing a vibrant rainbow on the foggy horizon.
And then it struck me. I knew what had to be done! I had to create a mezuzah just as beautiful, full of life and powerful colorful light as this rainbow.
Each of my mezuzahs ought to be unique, bringing blessed warmth, tranquility and confidence to its owners.
